Historical Overview

Unique Metrology, founded by Mr. Mathieson, has been in business for over 15 years providing industry leading calibration services from its three SANAS accredited laboratories. Both the pressure and temperature laboratories were previously owned by Eskom with Mr. Mathieson being the manager of both. Accreditation of these two laboratories dates back to 1987, which confirms over 30 years of first class calibration services by Mr. Mathieson.


On the passing of Mr Mathieson in September 2021, his son took over all business operations, using his own 10 years of experience to further grow and expand the calibration and testing services.

The company has over the past three years expanded into the fields of mass, water flow, torque, humidity and electrical calibrations, with the addition of more skilled Metrologists. Unique Metrology has vast knowledge in performing quality calibration and plant performance testing services. We strive to provide the absolute best service to all our customers at all times!
